This Saturday I participated in my first #1day12pics. The idea is to take a photo every hour for twelve hours in one given day and share them with all the other participants on instagram and twitter. It was a lot of fun and so I wanted to share a few of my favorite snapshots. I love that I got to create a “day in the life” post which will hopefully help you get to know me a little better. Maybe I’ll see you on #1day12pics next month?
Clockwise from top left:
- It was a lovely green morning. Those are the windows in my living room; they were one of the reasons we decided to buy our house.
- This photo was taken walking through Old Town Wichita to go to the first farmers’ market of the year.
- We went clothes shopping for Paul after lunch (see below), so we spent the late afternoon relaxing with stacks of reading.
- We also listened to El Camino by The Black Keys. I love that it’s one of those records I can play all the way through because I like every song.
Finally, here’s pics of me and my husband, Paul. That way, you’ll know what we look like when I talk about us on the blog!
Looks like a spectacular day.
It was a pretty good Saturday!
Lovely idea! My life is far too boring to photograph though haha. Love The Black Keys, I saw them live a couple of years ago and they were fantastic 🙂

Our lives are so much less boring to other people than they are to ourselves! I was worried my photos wouldn’t be interesting enough but I think there’s a strong attraction in getting a sneak peak into someone else’s day-to-day life.
I haven’t seen The Black Keys live yet (kicking myself for missing their concert with Arctic Monkeys in Tulsa a while back) but hope to sometime soon. Looking forward to their new album!
Gorgeous pics, nice to see a glimpse of your life. Thanks for taking part. Emma.
Thanks for hosting! I had a great time.
What a fun idea! Love seeing your photos!
It was fun. I’d definitely recommend it!
